| The Charlotte County Chamber Christmas Parade starts at Charlotte High School where Conquistadors enjoy fellowship, breakfast and an occasional cold beverage on Saturday morning, December 4. | |||

Paraders await the step-off at noon, enjoying the company of nearby contingents. When we ask if the Conquistador Cannon will spook a troop of horses, we're told, "Not these horses. They know all about hunting, guns and bullwhips." We then conclude we have no reason to fire the cannon until the parade starts. |

Pam and Rick
arrived just in time for dinner, with an unusual gift. After joking
for years about wearing blue jeans with plaid lining in the winters of our
youth, Linda decided getting Rick a pair of flannel lined jeans would be a
wonderful surprise. |
