Ed's Birthday Party A Week in a Mountain Cabin |
Though Ed's official 2009 birthday was in January, Nancy Fe and Linda found
a (not so) humble mountain cabin near Blue Ridge, Georgia for a celebration
in March. |
The Cabin boasts three bedrooms, three baths, two fireplaces, pool table,
hot tub - you get the idea... Keeping in the birthday spirit, we made day trips to Amicalola Falls State Park and to Dahlonega where I had corned beef and cabbage swallowed down (a phrase we learned in Blue Ridge) with Guinness Stout for Saint Patrick's Day. |

| Amicalola Falls marks the beginning of the Appalachian Trail, a continuous footpath extending more than 2,000 miles, following the crest of the Appalachian Mountains to Mount Katahdin, Maine. We didn't walk that far. | ||
| Many days we had good reason to entertain ourselves at The Cabin. | ||
