I can't guarantee it but, with some confidence I
say, the first time I've waxed my 190 SL in over 30 years was the week before
driving it to Athens. After all, once you wax a car, you've made a
commitment.
Telling folks we were driving to Athens raised some eyebrows because
everyone thinks of that place on the Mediterranean. Consider there are
at least a dozen states in the good old U.S.A. boasting an Athens.

Saturday, between seminars on
restoration and drivability, competition was held for Concourse d' Elegance,
Founders' Award and People's Choice. |

Are these viewers looking for a People's Choice winner? Hoods up and tops down for Concourse. Some engine compartments show better than others. For those wanting to see the fitted leather luggage, matching the interior leather. That's my car in the foreground.
