Week Three - April 27 to May 3, 2008

Week Three started with Saint Bart's Rotary Club Rally on Sunday morning.  Dressed as Christopher Columbus, contestants competed with stop-points and treasure hunt.  Following awards, GSE Members found antics on the beach.

Monday morning Nils gave a tour of Saint Barts, beginning with the electricity generating incinerator.  We met a Gendarmarie and climbed to the top of the old fort.  Following our Program at the rescheduled Saint Barthelemy Rotary meeting, I was pleased with my birthday cake and candle.  Before boarding the Ferry to Saint Martin we visited the only factory on the island.

Tuesday marks another day of Carnival on Sint Maarten.

We start the day updating our presentation on Wednesday, then relax by the pool.
At a barbecue that evening, team members gave me a birthday gift from Ligne.

Sipping coffee Thursday morning, we wait for the ferry to Anguilla.  Following lunch on the beach, my host Rotary President Seymour Hodge gave a tour of the island.  After our evening Rotary program, we visit the Pump House to enjoy a local band.

Rotarians Lester Forman and Don Mitchell continue our tour of Anguilla, visiting the Wallblake House, that's Mike photographing the sanctuary of the old Catholic church, history museum and rum factory.  We celebrated Mike's birthday with ice cream, cake and candle at lunch time.

We end the week back at Smokey's on the beach.  Victor brought friends from Saint Martin to Anquilla in his boat.
