Ponce - A
good Rotarian
January through June 2009
Sometime in 1995 Ponce began to
appear in The Conquistador, the Official Publication of the Rotary Club of
Charlotte Harbor, Florida. His weekly adventures were assembled from
clip art.
On October 9 of 2001, I used up my
last piece of clip art and decided he should be hand-drawn, with help from the
computer.
It took little time to realize I
have no sense of proportion or other artistic talent, but fortunately that had
no impact on the sheer number of drawings. I am proud to say
my first set of Crayola Washable Water Colors (Non-Toxic) lasted until
Thanksgiving 2005, My third set, made its debut in October of 2008.

At the end of June 2009, Ponce
retired to spend more time with his Special Friends.
