Underwater Photographs - Surface Above Self
When I first took scuba lessons back in the sixties, the only thing I knew you could do was freeze your bones in a wet (or dry) suit in some murky northern lake. "We must be on the bottom. I just bumped into something."

A few years later my friend, Kevin, took me in his boat to a coral reef in Biscayne Bay. That day, I was hooked. Ever since, I have been discovering how difficult it is to get really good underwater pictures.
The only underwater shot to gain notoriety was this one.

I called it Fish and Coral. It won a contest and was published in a couple of scuba magazines.
